CHC’s search and rescue operations in Ireland cover the North Atlantic, Irish, and Celtic Seas to a range of 200 nautical miles. CHC provides these services for the Irish Coast Guard, responding to approximately 150 search and rescue call-outs per year.

CHC's primary SAR aircraft can each carry enough fuel to stay airborne for five hours, and are equipped with rescue hoists, autohover capabilities, emergency lighting, and a complete paramedic station. CHC’s search and rescue operations in Ireland are conducted out of Dublin, Shannon, Waterford and Sligo.

CHC also operates a helicopter base at Cork, providing support for the offshore oil and gas industry. The offshore support crew consists of six pilots, three engineers and one operation officer.

Services Provided
CHC Ireland is the leading provider of Search and Rescue (SAR) Helicopter Services to the Irish Coast Guard. CHC operates six specially equipped Sikorsky S-61N aircraft.

CHC also operates a Dauphin AS365N helicopter for Marathon Oil Ireland Limited.
